Principal Project Manager

Our Project Managers are responsible for the strategic, day-to-day planning and execution of our web-based systems and applications. You will work with our clients, internal and external product team members to guide our products from concept to launch through delivery and acceptance by the client. Projects range from short to long-term initiatives with the ultimate goal of delivering world-class web-based customer experiences.  This position requires an excellent understanding of cross-functional team management towards the successful completion and delivery of complex web solutions.  As a client-facing position, excellent written and oral communication skills are also required with an emphasis on managing and communicating stakeholder input, project status and issue management.

Responsibilities

-Develops detailed project plans that are the blueprint for product development

-Delivery of high-quality project documentation including status reports, change management orders and meeting minutes  as well as working with the team to ensure excellence in all documentation deliveries

-Creates the visibility necessary to carry a product through launch by ensuring it is thoroughly vetted and acceptable to the client and that necessary work products are available to hand-off to the product development team               members at each phase of the software product development lifecycle

- Coordinates activities of internal and external product team members to assist in gathering product requirements and identifying the impacts of these features and enhancements to the overall project plan

- Creates staffing plans and cost estimates to reflect desired delivery timelines and product requirement

- Instrumental in prioritizing and coordinating features for deployment while constantly assessing decisions against customer value, business impact, and technical tradeoffs

- Works closely with the product manager, design staff, content manager and technical lead to manage project issues lists, change requests,  client escalations, bug fixes, and setup of ongoing operational support, as necessary

- Works closely with the engineering teams to optimize plans to deliver above expectations in both product features and quality

- Reviews QA test cases and assists the product manager in providing subject matter expertise support to QA

 
Qualifications: 

- Minimum 6-8 years experience in technical product or project management with demonstrated success in the delivery of web-based projects and initiatives

- Excellent project management & communication skills with the ability to influence decisions and decision-makers

- Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle

- In depth understanding of technical and user experience issues typically encountered in web-based product development

- Ability to adjust to frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to keep credibility, customer relationships, and sound business judgment as their core focus

- BA/BS required (MBA is a plus)

- Ability to travel 25-50%

Principal Product Manager

Product Management at Perfect Sense means using your entrepreneurial spirit to develop industry-leading strategies that move our clients’ digital businesses to the front of the pack.  Our Product Managers require a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle with an emphasis on creating the best experience for all consumers, whether that person is in front of the screen or using tools to manage a website behind the scenes.  You will use your deep product experience to work with stakeholders to manage the collection and documentation of requirements, monitor product development, oversee client handoff and acceptance testing, and support post launch monitoring.   The ideal candidate has experience with the product management of large consumer websites, publishing systems that support those sites, and tools used to monitor and manage them.  Specific product experience in one of the following areas is considered a plus:  social media strategy, mobile platforms, video management and distribution.  This role is client-facing and requires excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

- Provide in-depth market, industry and competitive analysis for assessing the potential for products

- Develop and maintain high-quality product requirements

- Ensure quality delivery by continuing to monitor and support products through all phases of the software development lifecycle

- Work closely with Project Management to maintain on-time delivery of the product as specified

- Assist the client in development of core positioning and messaging for products as well as launch marketing plans

- Work with third parties to assess the potential for partnerships and licensing opportunities where needed

- Act as a leader both on assigned projects and within the company

- Assist in handoff and training sessions with clients developing training materials as needed

- Maintain backlogs and priorities for product enhancements

- Own product development roadmaps

- Document baselines and monitor KPIs to determine success of product against stated goals

Qualifications

- 6-8 years of product management experience with demonstrated success in the delivery of large consumer facing websites

Principal Visual Designer

Bring your artistry to the web, creating experiences that customers and clients won’t soon forget. The Visual Designer works in combination with other internal and external designers and our Creative Director to design and deploy innovative visual solutions for product enhancements, customer facing creative, new product ideation, executive presentations, flash development/production (including Action Script) and other visual design tasks that help represent our clients and all of their products and services.

Responsibilities

- Produce outstanding visual design solutions for web-based and desktop application user interfaces that support our client’s design goals, including increasing end-user effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction.

- Create and maintain visual assets including iconography, color palettes, font styles, and other graphical elements.

- Contribute to the creation of high-fidelity prototypes for review with clients and usability evaluations with end users.

- Maintain visual standards and style guide documentation.

Qualifications

- 7-9+ years experience designing outstanding web-based products for a consumer-oriented website as a key member of a design team.

- Passion for human-centered design, with an ability to think strategically while executing in great detail.

- Experience with HTML, CSS,and some familiarity with Javascript and/or Actionscript a plus.

- Ability to prototype in Flash or other dynamic prototyping tools a plus.

- Use Adobe Photoshop and/or Fireworks like a pro.

- Some experience in copywriting and SEO is a plus.

- Ability to deliver and ability to integrate as a team player.

- Fine Arts degree is preferred.

Junior Systems Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

The Systems Administrator's role is to design, install, administer, optimize and monitor company and client systems, servers and related components to achieve high performance of internal systems and web properties. This position will also support the on-going development efforts as part of our client engagements. A strong candidate will demonstrate the aptitude and willingness to learn the PSD best practices for systems and application administration.

Specifically:

- Day-to-day management of linux and cloud based systems, such as Amazon’s EC2 service.

- Installation and troubleshooting of software packages and operating systems.

- Development as needed in Perl, Python, Bash/Shell scripting.

- Application management of web technologies, such as: Apache webserver, Apache Tomcat, MySQL

- Automation deployment using tools such as Puppet or Chef

Key Responsibilities: We're looking for a QA Engineer to test next-generation interactive online media experiences. Candidates will be responsible for end-to-end testing of web sites and web service applications, and for specifying, designing, implementing, and running automated tests.

- 3+ years of web-related experience, strong analytical, problem solving, and technical testing skills
- Quick self-learner, highly focused, well-organized and ability to own a task through to completion

Financial Analyst

Perfect Sense Digital is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to join their dynamic team! Financial analyst will interact and report into senior management. This individual will be expected to provide recommendations and information to the executives through collection and analysis of data, along with creating and managing dashboards that provide insight. Financial Analyst will assist in all financial modeling for forecasting, budgeting and planning as well as creating a sales compensation plan. Ideal candidate for this Financial Analyst position must have 2+ years of experience in consulting, finance and/or banking as well as experience with data analysis, forecasting and reporting. Financial Analyst will need to be high energy, detail oriented and have the ability to work both independently as well as in a team setting. Financial Analyst must have strong Excel skills including pivot tables.
