Sargent Shriver was a man who dedicated himself to service. Throughout his life, he shaped history -- as the first leader of the Peace Corps under President John F. Kennedy, as the Director of the War on Poverty under President Lyndon B. Johnson, and through his involvement with Special Olympics International, along with his wife, Eunice Kennedy Shriver. Shriver's mission was to give voice to the downtrodden, the poor, the overlooked, and the marginalized.

His work touched, inspired, and changed countless Americans -- including us. We were honored to create this website as part of our continued relationship with Special Olympics. The site is dedicated to educating the public about Shriver's admirable work and legacy. Visitors can leave "tributes" to this great man and explore a deep archive of content, including articles, photographs, speeches, and videos. Our hope is that this website will serve as a lasting memorial to this tower of service.
