In partnership with Lionsgate, Samsung, and Best Buy, Perfect Sense released a special Android tabloid app experience for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1. The app leveraged Brightspot® with the LG360 platform to provide users with an immersive experience in advance of the film's November 2014 release.
The app was released in a unique launch event timed to the release of the teaser trailer for Mockingjay. The highly-anticipated trailer was available only at ComicCon and at select Best Buy stores across the country, where the app was loaded exclusively on Samsung Tab S tablets. This allowed Samsung to showcase the gorgeous display and unmatched resolution of the Tab S. The app also has a special integration with Google Play. Tab S owners receive promo codes that allow them to download the first two Hunger Games movies for free from the Google Play store.
The app features robust content, including images, slideshows, videos, motion posters, and screenplays. Lionsgate will be expanding the content as the movie moves closer to its release date.
The development of this app was completed in less than three weeks, with Perfect Sense contributing full product management, technical development, and QA on the engagement.
