Food Network Recipe Box
Forget your cookbook -- now the only tool you need to plan your meals and organize your recipes is Food Network's new-and-improved "My Recipe Box", launched in September 2013 in partnership with Food Network and powered by Brightspot.® The experience allows consumers to save recipes from any website into their My Recipe Box account. Consumers can then organize their recipes into folders for later use, from family favorites to easy weeknight dinners, from special events to course-by-course menus.
In addition to the powerful saving and organization tools, My Recipe Box also features a Shopping List, which is conveniently grouped and display by grocery store aisle. The experience works seamlessly between desktop, tablet, and mobile -- meaning a consumer can discover a recipe one night while browsing on desktop, then pull up their shopping list on their smartphone while at the grocery store the next morning, and finally have the recipe in hand on a mobile device while cooking in the kitchen that evening.
Previous projects with Food Network include the launch of a recipe reviews filter in June 2012, which allows users to easily filter comments on more than 5,000 recipes via a new "browse by keyword" module. It's an oh-so-helpful shortcut for users looking for detailed information on specific ingredients in a given recipe (say, if you want to substitute half-and-half for heavy whipping cream and are wondering if anyone else has tried it with success).
