The largest retailer in the world is now a Perfect Sense client, with the company's corporate destination now built entirely on Brightspot.® The site was developed and delivered in a little more than five months by six dedicated developers, along with support from our design, product, content, QA, and operations teams.
We migrated all existing content -- about 4,000 assets along with 5,000 images -- to the new Brightspot implementation, while providing training and support for the Walmart editorial team to take over ongoing site operations. We designed and developed a new homepage, a new photo album experience, highly unique communication forms that put the media and customers directly in contact with Walmart employees.
The Walmart site also prominently features the new Perfect Sense share bar, which is designed to help drive social engagement. All these features were implemented in a fully mobile responsive front-end so customers can consume the experience on any device.
Walmart also re-launched their corporate blog on Brightspot in June, 2015. Perfect Sense migrated various blog posts and articles from other Walmart properties onto a single, simple experience that encourages easy navigation through content on a variety of topics important to the company. Blog posts, now with rich images, videos and slideshows, feature custom right rails with relevant content and social conversations. The blog now has a commenting platform with moderation so that Walmart is able to review all submissions.
