Kate Chipman

As Practice Director - Technology, Kate manages Perfect Sense's capabilities in web technology and leads a team of more than 40 engineers with wide ranging industry background. Kate has extensive experience in the web development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and has a special interest in standards-based front-end development. 
 

During her tenure at Perfect Sense, Kate has partnered with clients to bring critical work to market, including major launches for Scripps Networks, Besins Healthcare, Federated Media, and the Points of Light Institute. She has built a development team by recruiting top talent and establishing best practices with regards to the use of open source technologies at Perfect Sense. With 13 years of web development experience herself, Kate understands what it takes to deliver great application development, front-end development and platform integration work.
 

Prior to joining Perfect Sense, Kate spent nearly a decade as a developer and development leader at AOL, where she gained valuable experience providing technical guidance for large-scale initiatives. Kate was part of the large team that developed two proprietary content management systems at AOL that powered a network of websites that generated billions of page views monthly.
