I asked for opportunities to try full stack projects, and was given assignment that have helped me develop. My favorite project was developing a new site for Feherty’s Troops First Foundation. It was cool to work on a project that went beyond client work, but was truly about giving back and helping fulfill Perfect Sense’s mission.

Make a Difference
Perfect Sense was founded with giving back to its community core to its mission. Through ongoing, concrete actions our mission aims at getting our employees off the sidelines to join hand-in-hand in bringing joy to the lives of others, while gaining a greater understanding of our community. Our efforts focus on three populations—indidivuals with intellectual disabilities, at-risk youth, and wounded veterans.
Over the years, Perfect Sense employees have had the opportunity to volunteer at Special Olympics World Games in Pyeongchang, Los Angeles, and Austria; snowboard with Special Olympics athletes in Aspen; build bicycles that are distributed through the YMCA to at-risk youth during the holidays; and golf alongside wounded veterans. Additionally, Perfect Sense celebrates every employee's 5-year anniversary with a $1,000 contribution to a charity of his/her choice.
I was a software developer, but after a month on the job, an opening in Operations allowed me to switch over to my current role. That change brought a bunch of new skills, such as the ability to quickly diagnose and fix issues causing outages and learning new ways to automate systems effectively. The way we merge Operations and Development has allowed me to develop system administration skills while keeping my creative and analytical skills honed.
